About Advertising on Slashdot

As much fun as editing and reading several hundred submissions a day is, the harsh reality is that, yes, we do like to eat occasionally. This, as you might have guessed, is the cause for those banner ads running at the top of your screen.

Slashdot's audience is one of the most technically savvy groups on the Web, with an enormous number of systems administrators, programmers, and others heavily involved in the information age. As well, we have a very large group of people who like to purchase the newest and greatest technologies, as well as looking for interesting things to do. The bottom line is that Slashdot readers tend to be smarter, wealthier, more attractive, and more involved with computers then almost most anywhere else on the Web.

So, if you are interested in tapping into an important segment of the market, drop Jeff Bates a line, and he'll talk to you about the rates. Bulk discounts are available, and barters are welcomed- we like toys, so whatever you're gonna try to sell, we'd probably like to play with.

Currently Running Ads

If you'd like to take a look at all of our currently running ads, I think it would be best to click here.
